Each piece is individually composed from richly patterned fabrics in deep black, antique gold, ivory, crimson, blush, jewel tones and muted metallics. Intricate embroidery, decorative borders and layered textile panels create extraordinary depth and texture, making every wall hanging feel closer to a piece of collected textile art than conventional home décor.

THE STORY

At Aramse Aramse, our family spends much of the year travelling throughout India, building long-term relationships with independent artisan families and small workshops.

The Midnight Bazaar Collection comes from a cooperative of four artisan families in North India whom we visited personally. Rather than producing uniform new textiles, they work with carefully selected vintage and surplus fabrics, preserving beautiful embroidery and decorative cloth that might otherwise be discarded or forgotten.

Each wall hanging brings together fragments with their own character and history. Metallic thread, floral embroidery, ornate borders, traditional motifs and richly textured fabrics are carefully arranged into a completely individual composition.

The result is a collection that feels layered, atmospheric and collected over time.

Because vintage textiles are used, subtle variations, traces of age and irregularities are expected. We consider these part of the beauty of each piece rather than imperfections.

THE COLLECTION

Midnight Bazaar ranges from restrained black, ivory and antique-gold compositions to dramatic pieces filled with crimson, pink, turquoise and jewel-toned embroidery.

Although every wall hanging is different, the collection is united by its dark ground, elaborate surface detail and distinctive sense of faded grandeur.

Designed for interiors where textiles are treated as art, these pieces work particularly beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, entrance halls, creative spaces and carefully layered eclectic interiors.

PLEASE NOTE

Each wall hanging is individually made from vintage and reclaimed textiles. Minor variations in stitching, fading, previous repairs, irregular edges and signs of age are natural characteristics of the materials and contribute to the individuality of the piece.

For creases caused by shipping, gently steam from the reverse or allow the textile to hang naturally. If ironing is necessary, always place a protective cloth or towel between the iron and the textile and never iron directly over the embroidery.
