This jewel tone floral vintage patchwork wall hanging is a one-of-a-kind Indian embroidered tapestry, handmade in North India from reclaimed and surplus textiles. At approx. 40 × 60 inches (102 × 152 cm), it makes a large statement above a bed, sofa or in a hallway.

Jewel Garden is the richest in colour of the Moonlit Palace pieces, layering jewel tones into a lush, garden-like composition.

THE STORY

Deep royal blues, intricate gold embroidery and layers of richly textured vintage textiles come together in this striking piece from our Moonlit Palace Collection.

Inspired by the carved arches, ornate gateways and decorative interiors of India's historic palaces, each wall hanging has its own character, created from carefully selected reclaimed and surplus textiles gathered in North India.

At Aramse Aramse, our family spends much of the year travelling throughout India, building long-term relationships with independent artisan communities and small family cooperatives. This collection came from a cooperative of four artisan families in North India, where we were able to source a limited number of remarkable vintage and surplus textile pieces.

Each wall hanging is individually assembled from reclaimed fabrics and decorated with a beautiful mix of traditional embroidery, metallic threadwork, mirror details, beadwork and richly patterned patchwork.

No two pieces are exactly alike.

The different fragments of embroidery, colour and pattern give every wall hanging its own composition and personality, making each one a genuine one-of-a-kind textile artwork.

As these pieces incorporate genuine vintage and reclaimed textiles, you may notice occasional irregular stitching, small repairs, loose threads or subtle signs of age. We see these details as part of the history and character of the piece rather than imperfections.

CARE

Your wall hanging may arrive with light creasing from being carefully folded for shipping.

To help the textile relax, lay it flat beneath a mattress, rug or other evenly distributed weight for a few days.

If required, gentle steaming can be used with care. Steam from the reverse side where possible and avoid prolonged heat around metallic embroidery, mirrors, beads and other embellishments.

Do not iron directly onto the embroidery or decorative surfaces.

Spot clean only using a damp cloth and mild soap.
